Can my home page be public and my appointment book private.
Answer:
Yes. You can have a publicly accessible home page and retain your appointment system for private use only.
In your security settings select "I want control". A new button will be added to your control center to process any requests for access. If someone does request access then simply deny them access or ignore the request.
If you want an additional layer of security then go to your control center. In the section column names, put a check beside each name. This will hide all columns from everyone but you and any of your assigned managers.
Now the public will be able to access your home page, but no one will be allowed to view your appointment book or book online appointments.
Remember that if you do want to allow online booking in the future you must uncheck those hidden columns.
